Which is better ballys or flamingo
If a nice view is important to you, book a Jubilee room at Ballys. Every room has a great view of the Strip , either looking north or south at the Eiffel Tower. I am a fan of both, all rooms in Ballys seem recently refurbished but the " Flamingo rooms" at the Flamingo are very nice.
I would just give the edge to the Flamingo because it's next to the Linq promenade. I like both but give the edge to Flamingo. Livlier atmosphere,on the Linq Promenade ,easy to get to the strip, and has a relaxing Habitat area. Skip to main content. Sign in to get trip updates and message other travellers. It's nice, it's central, it's got a great pool, but I'm never excited about being here.
People seem to be having much more fun at the stifling, confining casino at Harrah's than here. The "deluxe" rooms that have not yet been remodeled are still in good shape, are fairly big and can be a pretty good value. Try walking from one end of the floor to the other with the 4 adjoined towers.
I counted rooms on one floor. Bring water, you also need to walk back. Nicer atmosphere than most; amazing pool.
Major points for having Margaritaville adjacent. I also like the garden with the penguins, flamingos, swans, etc. And the Buffet is really pretty; it's one of the few on the Strip that I will go to, because of the waterfalls and tropical surroundings.
I have gotten fairly lucky in the casino as well. They are gross here. Cheap rooms in a fabulous location. In my opinion the casino here has the best drink service. The slots here werent tight and the dealers were very friendly. I just stayed in this place in October and all I got to say is if your going to stay here definatly pay the money to get into a Go Room.
It is sorta decorated like a love palace but the beds were superb. I actually didn't want to get outta bed because thet were so comfortable The casino floor was kinda confusing to me and I kinda did alot of back tracking but everything else was great.
The staff was really good and was very helpful. All of the neon pink makes me feel like I'm stumbling around Liberace's vulva. The gambling is poor but the GO Rooms are decent and the vibe is pretty laid back. Stayed here a long time ago now It was pretty nice when I was there and the brother and I actually got upgraded to a Suite.
GO Rooms are pretty good, and I still like the pool and old vibe of this joint. Still like the pool here alot. Usually can always get my room comped here. Nice old dame, but showing her age. The Flamingo holds a special place in our heart - it was the first hotel we ever stayed in Vegas back in June and we had a room overlooking Caesars. Since then, we had several smaller suites and then the Neapolitan Suite which was fantabulous!
If you're going to go to the Flamingo - then definitely GO all the way. Last time we stayed there we got a kickass upgrade for nothing. They need to powerwash the place from the parking garage to Las Vegas blvd,. Another old dirty joint. Some decent Fortune and Mini Pai Gow can be found. Have had luck on video poker here.
And the beer is cold. The GO Room is quintessential Vegas at a shockingly average price. The history, the location, the pool: Flamingo is Las Vegas to me. The Flamingo is my 'home' CET casino. It all started as a cheap place to stay on The Strip when I was a micro-roller. Now, my bank roll has increased significantly and I still frequent the Flamingo. Even when I stay elsewhere in Vegas, I still spend a night gambling here. I've come to know, and be known, by many of the staff on the casino floor.
The pool is a huge plus. We'll see this year how the switch-a-roo of pools turns out. I love the GO Rooms. The showers have 'boobie-washers' which are great. Many complain about the lack of privacy with the frosted glass bathroom door, but it's never been an issue for me, even when staying in the same room with other guys.
The standard rooms, on the other hand, can be disappointing. If you're used to staying in a Motel6, Holiday Inn, or the Imperial Palace, you probably won't even notice. If you have a higher level of room standard in Vegas than you do in other cities, you will be sorely disappointed. Even the Standard 'Petite Suites' leave a lot to be desired.
You get more space, but it's often wasted with a lack of furniture. Overall, I recommend the Flamingo based on location, price and the pool! Stayed in a GO room with another couple that we've been friends with for a while. Nice room for the price, craps sucks here bleh. Location, Location, Location! A great jumping off point. The rooms are less than have not stayed in a GO Suite. The service is not great- almost surly in my experience. Why do I go back? The pool, location and price.
And I have a sentimental spot in my heart for Bugsy. If you are looking for great payouts or great food this is NOT the place. The pool and the pool service is awesome tho. Its a central place to sleep. Old world feel for a strip casino. Nice buffet to sit and watch the wildlife.
It still has the Old Vegas feel however, the pit people are to stiff. The Hotel is showing its age, but our room was clean and comfortable. Escalator to the tram wasn't working, which was a pain. In fact most of the escalators on the strip appeared to be shut down. I'd certainly stay here again. Can't go wrong with the 80's music in the casino and at the pool. In need of some TLC for sure. The GO rooms were excellent five years ago, but the Fab rooms are pitiful.
This property is only on our list if it is the only one we can get a room at for free! I like the ducks.. Experienced my largest single slotmachine jackpot here.. Rough around the edges, rooms need to be freshened. Some staff are cheerful and happy. Wouldn't eat here.
Excellent location. Nice Pool. Not one of our favorites. We stayed there early this fall and the first morning our comode over flowed. Maybe later on we will go back. The Flamingo used to be one of my go-to joints in town, but after experiencing the disaster that is their housekeeping, I'm too grossed out to stay here again. Did I mention roaches or a mold covered bathroom?
I used to love this place. Rating this one a 2. That's about all I can say. I try to come back and try to enjoy something outta the place, but there's nothing. Center strip, good food, feels like Vegas What more can you ask for the price. Computed using ratings submitted by MyVegas members. Terrific mid strip location at very affordable prices.
Nice spacious rooms with great views of south strip and bellagio fountains. When i stayed the big kitchen buffet was open which was a great value. Even without it though, id still stay here again. Also, the sterling brunch is Amazing. I love staying here, I love gambling here, I love drinking here! Plus I shared a few other thoughts on it here: www. My husband and I have stayed here since the demise of the Stardust.
Good location, metro rail access, safe passage to Paris and Planet Hollywood 3 fer one and one of the last casino's to have a "true " deep end pool and tennis court.
If you want to live big ,stay at Bellagio. I f you want a Vegas classic, the last of a dying breed, book Bally's. Stayed here for two nights in July I upgraded to a North Tower room. It was spacious, clean and probably about square feet. I like the sports book and, although it is just a big rectangle, the pool is big and has a deep end, which was cool.
The gaming is unremarkable and not a huge fan of the dining option except for the one time I ate at Bally's Steakhouse, which was very remarkable. But the hotel is attached to Paris, so I usually eat at the buffet over there once a trip. A seat in the far back of Indigo Lounge, facing the casino and the band is kinda a hidden gem in this town.
Great casino energy. Manageable size. Fun place to play tables. Walk through to the Paris. Rooms were dated, but clean. The price can't be beat, and the casino is a great place to spend your money. I've stayed at Ballys several times. Ballys offers a good value. Rooms are nothing spectacular, but are large clean and comfortable. I always stay in the north tower deluxe room.
Pool is not so hot, but the hotel is connected to Paris. We used the Paris pool, which was relatively nice. The steakhouse is good, but overall restaurants and shopping are limited.
Jubilee show is worth seeing once. Price is right is boring if you don't get to play. I got to play, so it was fun for me. Decent casino. Not lucky here. Just good 'ol fun. Nothing too fancy but if you need fancy Nice casino, kind of small. It was the old MGM Grand. Nice indoor connection to Paris, and a great location on the Strip. Old school Vegas on the strip. Also comfy but not overdone rooms and a great live music lounge right off the casino floor. The North Tower rooms are great.
Not so keen on the South Tower. I don't know what exactly I like about this place, but it has the feel of a classic joint that never turned into a dump the way the Sahara and Trop have. Jubilee is awesome too. Too bad it's owned by Harrah's. Nice hotel but the walk from the Strip to the casino was a step too far. There really isn't much to Bally's. The casino is quite small but more on the lines of a low roller like myself. The Pit Bosses are not the uptight type.
I was also there during the Super Bowl last year. If you like the music loud and people enjoying themselves, then this is the place for you.
Great location and from what I hear a pretty nice place to stay. A couple of guys I work with stay here every summer with their wives.
Pool is not spectacular but if you are middle aged and want a place to stay without the hassle of all of the young drunk partiers this is a good option.
Has a great restaurant called the Tequila Bar with a great taco dinner for less than 10 per person. Also has the best place ever across the street to the north behind the old Bills Gambling Hall.
Small , dingy and great cheap eats. Excellent location, good value, plenty of recently refurbished rooms.
