How many students at idc herzliya
A significant number of these students who wish to remain in Israel also have the opportunity of learning Hebrew on campus, so by the end of their studies, they have the tools to be gainfully employed in Israel.
Indeed, we call ourselves the largest academic absorption center in the country. To our benefit, those who wish to return to their home countries, go on to become great ambassadors for the State of Israel and provide future leadership for their communities. Today, we have over 27, graduates worldwide, offering our alumni an amazing array of networking opportunities.
The university was created to do good for the State of Israel and create a future cadre of leadership. These are values which strive for a Jewish and democratic State, by the people for the people with the minority in mind.
It is a Zionism of freedom and responsibility. At IDC, our student population consists of over students from 85 different countries. There is a cafeteria with separate sides serving dairy and meat options. Several other buildings on campus have mini cafeterias as well. There are also many kosher restaurants in Herzliya itself.
Herzliya is a beautiful city and known to be the cleanest in Israel! There are new dorms on campus that are single occupancy and shomer shabbat students are given lower floors. Many students live a minute walk off campus near the shops and more central Herzliya locations. The professors at IDC come from all corners of the world, are well educated and really care about us students.
Our professors and teacher assistants do their best to assist us and listen to what we have to say, and care about how well we perform in their classes. IDC provides students with many unique opportunities including the Honors Program in Psychology, which includes writing an Honors Thesis in the third year, something which is not common on an undergraduate level.
IDC arranges a lot of fun events for students, on and off campus, including parties, sports, yoga, trips around the country, the International food festival, and volunteering, just to mention a few. There are many Swedes in Israel, and many of us are in contact via Facebook. It is totally worth it! And of course, there is always IKEA for when we feel homesick. Israel provides an interesting and unique combination of ancient history, religion, and culture. You see, there is far more to Israel than conflicts and camels although, there are also camels and they are really cute!
Coming here to study, or even just to travel, is something I would recommend to anyone any day, without thinking twice. If you happen to be Swedish or any other nationality and are considering going to study abroad, and you are interested in a different experience, consider IDC Herzliya as a wonderful option.
